Alex Mrazik Jr.
Served as a Fire Chief in Ledyard, Connecticut from 1999 through 2006 with 17 years of fire and emergency service experience;
M.S. Degree in Fire Science from the University of New Haven (Connecticut);
Executive Fire Officer Graduate from the National Fire Academy, Emmitsburg, MD.
Began with the DHS Office of Grants and Training in Washington, DC, January, 2007 as a Program Specialist/Preparedness Officer with state and local programs. Worked with multiple grant programs including the Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) and served on various review panels, committees, and working groups.
Promoted to Section Chief in August, 2008 with FEMA, overseeing the Port Security Grant Program within the Transportation Infrastructure Security Branch;
Served as Acting Branch Chief for the Transportation Infrastructure Security Branch, overseeing transit, rail, port, bus, and trucking grant programs.
Promoted to Permanent Branch Chief September, 2009.
