Ryan English, President/Co-Founder of FLYMOTION Unmanned Systems, is a serial entrepreneur whose just do it attitude as lead him to launch startups in the personal computer, e-commerce, and wireless accessories spaces before launching FLYMOTION based in part on his enthusiasm for aviation.
“FLYMOTION works with industries such as public safety, energy, media/broadcast, oil/gas, education, government, agricultural, mining and more,” he said. “Our team is well versed and experienced in drone operations and unmanned solutions. We offer sales, system integration, training, consulting, command/control vehicles and personnel for all types of projects and missions. Our founders have over 25 years experience in law enforcement, fire rescue, special operations (SWAT) and military.”
English was first introduced to drones in their early days when reading a business magazine. His entrepreneurial wheels started turning which led him to order an early version to fly for himself.
“I was enthusiastic about that first drone I purchased and saw many future benefits of the technology and where it could go,” English explained. “I spoke with my business partner and we decided to go all in. We initially started on the media production side and then launched an enterprise division with a heavy focus on public safety and government agencies providing a range of different applications. Our clients come to us for a variety of custom drone and unmanned solutions.”
English’s advice for aspiring entrepreneurs is to just do it. “Follow your gut and go for it,” he said. “It’s going to be a lot of work but one of the most rewarding things you do in life. A lot of people are intimidated and scared of failure, but at the end of day, if you don’t try you never know.”
